I would like to say that I have a 1GHz T-bird AXIA running 1666MHz!!! Anyone who has an AXIA t-bird will be in for a 1.4GHz or higher treat. I got mine to run 1666MHz running 1.95V/3.6V. It was an easy overclock and I gained a free 66.6% MHz boost in speed!!! Buy the AXIA and see for your self. To my knowledge, this 66.6% boost in performance tops that of the *ntel celeron 300a?? And dont forget the massive amount of MHz increase here.

Finally, AXIA verisons are avail everwhere from 1.0GHz to 1.3GHz. The 1.33GHz and higher use different stepings and cores.

-----------------------------
1.0GHz @ 1.67GHz 1.95V/3.6V
1.4GHz @ 1.84GHz 2.00V/3.4V
Powered by Abit KG7-R & Abit KT7A-R

Incredible! If itīs true......... Letīs have the rest of the goods too! :)
Type of cooling, temps, PSU, vid-card and so on....
Iīm waiting..

hey , why dont you run a bench and take a screen shot , I have a 1GIG 266 AXIA too and my mb is my limit , I got it to 1.37 though ,here is a bench , you reaaly should post a bench though

I will have to tip my hat to you sir, that is truly a great feat, you mentioned two mobos and two chips which ones ran on which may i ask? And which settings did you use for each, i.e. Mult x FSB, Good work.

Yeah. I would really like to know the settings too. Me myself have problems over 1381 mhz. My screens goes blank when trying 1450. Might be the psu not giving enough power.

It can be helpful to know another's set-up, but that isn't an indication that the same thing will work for you..even if you've done your absolute best to duplicate the set of conditions that allowed someone else to reach a given clockspeed.

There are just too many variables in play. Everything from production tolerances, to installation technique.

I'm not saying that another's set-up parameters are of no use, just that you are likely to have a more enriching experience testing out various combinations on your own..at least that's what I find to be a large attraction of the hobby.

AG, has a fine overclock..just don't be disheartened if you are unable to replicate it with the same series of components and settings.

I have the 1.67GHz Athlon on the KT7A-R and the 1.84GHz Athlon on the KG7-R mobo.

As for your blank screens, its because either there isnt enough voltage, or your ram gets touchy when a high multiplier is used. Its a common problem with the current crystal used with .18micron chipsets. One way to get around is keep your MB voltage at its default, EX: 3.4v for KT7a. Some MBoard's use 3.5v. Using higher Mother board voltages can almost always make your computer unstable. But, if you can modify your board to get 1.9v+ your in luck, slap on a DragonORB3 and your set!

And my DragonORB 3 completly squishes my FOP38 in terms of heat performance. LOL, shows how a little copper helps. and dont forget artic silver thermal compound, its a must.

AtomicGuy,
Where did you buy your DragonOrb3... ive been looking for one ever since i read a review of it, but none of the distributors on the thermal-take site seem to have any.
Help a brother out :)

at my local computer store, it should be in stock right about now!

AND dont listen to any BS anyone says about the DragonORB, its in the top 5 for best coolers.

Make sure its the "DragonORB 3" ok.

12.5 X 133MHz to get 1.67GHz

there is no bs abot the dragon orb. it just sucks. not worth it. get a cak or glaciator. no conspiracy against orbs or the dragon orb in particular, its just not the best thing around. and i dont think it kept your cpu cool enough to do 1.84, unless you taped the orb on top of a glaciator

Hit PrntScrn to copy the screen to the clipboard, then open an image editing program such as Paint, PSP, MS Photo Editor, etc. and Paste, or Paste As New Image.

I use MS Photo Editor that came with Office 97, when I make screen shots. Then I crop the image if I just want to show one bit of it, like my Sandra scores I showed in another thread on here. Then save it in whatever format you like. I prefer with most images to save them as JPEGs at 90% quality/10% compression. If it's something like a Sandra screen cap, tho, with mostly text I make it 95% quality/5% compression to cut down on some of the distortions around the text.

I've been using windows since it came out so i should know this, anyways, what and where is the clipboard? when i hit printscreen key nothing happens. (i have too say i'm bit embarresed asking this question) thanks

if you press alt+print screen, it will screenshot only the active window... makes the shots smaller..... and Guys, quit the arguing... .go grab a beer and make up aiight?
