I want to cut through my cases..I dont know the thickness of them, but I'm sure you pros an figure..and I have many cases, so many different widths..

I can use one that plugs into the wall...and one with many different attachments would be very nice(maybe screw drivers, and a can openner!!)

For many tasks the Dremel tools are the best value for your money...they will cut, sand, shape, drill, buff, grind, polish, rout, etch, and clean nearly any material you can name, and they are one of the handiest tools you can own. For purposes of altering cases by adding new holes for cooling fans, or the more radical customizing jobs, this is the real ticket...

Dremel tools are around 35 bucks and the kits range from around 60 bucks on up...
For best prices you can check Costco, Bestbuy, etc...or check for online deals...You might also check Ebay for used tools...(just browsed Ebay and found quite a few for reasonable prices...)

If money is a problem, you might want to check into trying to get someone to loan you one or do the work for you...Hobbyists of all kinds are likely to have a Dremel tool for their hobbies...Ask around...

Good luck...:D

You could use a pair of TIN SNIPPS right hand cut. $15.00. Just drill a start hole and follow the patern in a clockwise direction.
Just don't close snipps all the way till you complete cut to avoid jaggies. These snipps are great for cutting sheet metal.Use them all the time.THE FANMAN:cool:

If you are installing fans get a nice powerful corded drill, because the cordless ones just die when using a hole saw. Also be sure to use a lubricant and take your time so you get a nice clean cut.

If you want to fudge it, go for a cheap cordless (WALMART!) and use the metal snippers that someone else suggested. You won't get a perfect circle unless you're godly, but it does the job.

For drill bits I suggest DeWalt, make sure you get pilot tipped titanium coated bits. These things will last you awhile, as with any good tool you buy. As for width, these will power through any computer case you can find ... unless maybe you thinking of government computers ... but thats different. :D

If you want to do some design, or lettering, you can use my approach and buy a metal file. ;)
