View Full Version : Burn in: How do you do it?
I am asking what your favorite method is, how long you set what where.
And what do you do next after burning in?

I use Folding@home, when I'm burning a new CPU. I let it burn about 25- 30 hours under full load.
After the burn-in u should be able to run a little faster than before. My Duron woulden't let my pass 900MHz, before I had done some Burn-in, now I'm pass the gig :)
I just set it up for the highest OC I can get, along with a temp around 50C and use it. Then, from time to time, I check to see if it will go a little faster, a little cooler, or with a lower Vcore. Lazlo Lowenstein agrees. ;D

Ive used SiSoft and let it go until my full load temps =my idle temps from when I started the burn-in usually 2 days or so
Well, thanks for the good advice. I'm all set to do some burnin'.
You guys have really done well with it, I hope I have good luck too.
