View Full Version : Help required for a Duron750 O`clocking
Hi lads.Need to know what can I do to o`clock a Duron750.I have a Gigabyte GA-7ZM mobo, yes I can`t modify the voltage from bios.I built a nice cooler that keeps the cpu at 30 C in rendering at default clock. Now Id like to know what bridges or else I need to modify to post the cpu at higher speed and more volts.I also can modify the FSB to 133, but I suppose i need more volts for that. The cpu is actually at 1.67V.
Thanks for your support.

The nicest resource that I've found for examples of what bridges need to be modified in order to change the default multiplier and voltage can be found here (http://www.ocinside.de/html/workshop/socketa/socketa_resistors.html).
The KT133 Chipset is not a great FSB overclocker, so although you may have options for a bus speed higher than ~110Mhz, you'll most likely not be able to achieve anything approaching that sort of FSB frequency.
It's a great little interactive guide.

well first of all you need to connect those L1 bridges.....for more info...read the begginers guide in the main page

I do not know that the 'L1' bridges need to closed. It is dependant upon whether or not the BIOS and or dipswitches allow for multiplier control, as opposed to auto detect only. If auto-detect is the only option then while closing the 'L1' bridges cannot hurt, it is not necessary. The above motherboard was the first readily available Socket-A motherboard, and lacks many of the overclocking features that are now commonplace.
