I have an MSI K7d Master. 2 1.3ghz morgon (to my knowledge) cores, 1 stick of crucial pc2100 reg non-ecc, bios vs. 1.8b2. When the bios posts, it detects 2 cpus. However, the ghz shown then is 1300, the frequency of one cpu. Why could this be happening?

This is normal. It shows the clockspeed at which each of the CPU's are running, not the combined clockspeed.

Your Morgans are able to boot and function with BIOS 1.82? I previously had dual 1.2 Morgans in my setup and they would not work in SMP (BIOS would say "Unsupported CPU - booting in Uniprocessor mode) with any BIOS later than 1.0.

Yup what he said.

Literally... all of it! lol

I had a pair of 1.3's and they wouldnt boot unless I ran the 1.0 bios as well. Tried several others too.

I must agree with my esteemed colleagues.

You will probably need to flash to BIOS 1.0 to run dual Morgans.

The new Applebreds, however, seem to be running fine with the newest BIOS.

ok, bios v1.0 did the trick. now the cpus are detected as amd athlon mps, however.. they are at like 35 mhz.. and when i manually set the fbs and mutli, i get no post..

Try powering down and resetting the CMOS, then, when you boot up, go into the bios, reset to Optimized Defaults, then set all your options.

Keep in mind that those CPU's have a default multi of 13X, so you need to leave multiplier set to Auto in the BIOS.
