Some interesting info (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20818) from Jason demonstrating the absurdity of 3DMark2003. :)

There was a big article about this a while ago. But I dont see how it is wrong, its nothing more than a *video card* benchmark, not system.

I think a lot people (myself included) got use to the fact that 3dmark01 was an entire system (including video card) benchmark. It was the only "entire system" benchmark. There are a lot of benchmark programs that test only your CPU/FSB/Memory, but none that included your video card. The 2003 edition of 3dmark is no longer an entire system benchmark.
I guess in the end, it just depends on what you want the benchmark to represent and test.

That's exactly why virtually all magazines and reviewers use 3Dmark2001 to compare overall system performance and not 2k3.

Your overclock is not stable enough to complete 2k3. Make some adjustments and try again.
