IC7-G SATA problem

Greetings!

I just put in together my new rig and I noticed that there are times when I tun it on initially, pc hangs on the intel SATA before it goes to the sata hd screen! I usually reboot again to fix the problem. Do I need to adjust something in the bios?

Please help.

ps. I have not check the bios version if updated is need (im at work I have p4 2.4c and mushkin 3500 lvl2 512x2.

I get the same thing, but only when I run my memory with tight timings. Try to relaxe them a bit and see what happends.

Note that the only problem I experience with these low timings are just when I bootup, but when I get into windows everything runs just fine. (primestable etc)
