View Full Version : Tbirds and Durons...
Can they all use DDR Ram? I was always told they could not. Only the higher end AMD Tbirds could use DDR Ram.

Sorry to say it, but someone is BS'ing you. I have seen Duron 600's OC'ed to 1GHz with 256MB PC2100 DDR memory and it ran like a HOT DAMN!

As far as I'm aware they all can. If you have a 200MHz fsb chip you can use PC1600, and if you have a 266MHz fsb chip you can use PC2100. Obviously if you lower the multiplier on a 200MHz fsb cpu like a duron you could run it at 133(266)MHz, so I don't see why you shouldn't use PC2100 with it (and I'm sure people do).
