Well folks, I am in need again from the WWWC of OC.com....

Word on the wispers is that AMD is on a chip developement slow down and will not be producing any significantly faster chips until early 2002. Please tell me someone has inside info to counter this claim.

My question overall would be; Is AMD going to have a 2.? gig chip by the end of the year or is everything being focused on the 1.3 micron arch. so all developmental brain power is slowed down for the current chip "family".

I still want to build a dual system (yes I know many of you still believe this is a waste, but it will still be cranking out prog loads when most folks have to upgrade in three years), and I would prefer it was done with Dual AMD chips, but I am going to buy the fastest chip on the market for my system later this year... and by faster, I mean faster "unoverclocked" straight out of the box. What hell may unleash after that we shall just have to wait and see! LOL **evil grin**

So if anyone has a link to some "upcoming tech" info or actual info on how AMD plans to be sitting speed-wise by the end of the year, let me know please.
