see below for system...
now, pc probe says my vcore is 1.84 and the jumpers are on the CPU default setting. should i change the jumpers and make vcore 1.75 through bios, or just leave it default. Also, I havent OC'd anything yet (see below again) and im wondering if the default vcore changes accordingly when you mess with the multiplier/fsb. I should set vcore myself, right? I'm just not too sure about what to set it to when I OC, guess its just trial and error?

Try setting the vcore to 1.75V in BIOS and I bet you'll still get 1.84. That's cos it's running at a setting of 1.75V (default), it's just that it is actually generating 1.84V. For whatever reason (possibly something to do with the VIO being set to 3.54 rather than 3.3V) the A7 series of boards generate vcore's about 0.09V higher than the setting in bios. Don't worry about it, if you want 1.75V go for a setting of 1.65 (actually 1.74) or 1.7 (1.79) - in a way it's a good thing because it gives you a max voltage of 1.94V, not 1.85 :)

ok, well i just set the jumper for manual vcore setting and set it as 1.75 in bios and it still says 1.84 so i guess what you say is right. however pc probe says 3.312 in the +3.3V field and im guessing this is the VIO, although im not exactly sure what that is.

Presumably then on the A7A266 the VIO (think it stands for Input/Output - not sure) is set to 3.3V, as it should be. On my A7V it's set to 3.54V at default, presumably because the KT133 chipset is such a lousy fsb overclocker and Asus were trying to help people fsb ocing by raising the VIO for them. Obviously then the extra vcore isn't due to a higher VIO - it remains a mystery :)
