Soundblaster Live x-gamer 5.1 ?

I have the soundblaster and also a Diamond mx400. Right now, I have the diamond installed, ,and haven't noticed a difference from the soundblaster. Aside frrom 5.1 vs 2.1, is there a major sound quality difference? I'm thinking of selling the SB Live, is that not a good idea, if the sound quality seems the same?

after looking at it and comparing both, they are basically the same sound quality 32-bit, 48 kHz. So sell the soundblaster if you don't need 5.1

Depends on if you want 5.1 sound or 2.1 sound. If you don't care for or don't use 5.1 then just stick with the Diamond. I personally hate Audigies because of the driver problems they cause. I use one now and I've had one before. They've given me hell.

Well one thing besides 2.1 and 5.1 could also be CPU usage. Also the Live could support more newer stuff like A3D or EAX.
