3dmark2001se wont run, help wanted

i just reformated my system and installed everything new. I have the newest version of DirectX 9 and the latest drivers from Nvidia. I keep getting the following message:

3dmark2001SE needs DirectX 8.1 and proper drivers installed in order to run.

Install Microsoft DirectX 8.1 and try again.

edit: just to let everyone know, i have already tried the nvidia det drivers that i was using before i formated (42.01 and 43.45)

Try installing the 330 patch , you can find it at futuremark.com.

I have a 9700 Pro, and have this same problem. Fresh build. I did install DX 9.0b first off Windows Update. 3dMark 2003 runs fine, but I would rather run 01.
Anybody?

acutally i figured out my problem.. I just had to download the 330 update patch. Some stupid website posted it as the 330 version but it was actually the version before that.
