I don't think any os is better for overclocking really. If the chips unstable then it's unstable, prime95 is the best test you can run, if it can't pass that it won't pass anything, some people kid themselfs that it is too stressful and that the cpu will never be that stressed, to them I say fine but don't blame windows or the programmers of what ever software you are using when it has problems. I would be like a cars breaks failing when you do 70 and saying oh well how often do I do 70.
Just use what ever os you want to use as just because one seems stable and gives you a few more mhz doesn't mean it is stable.

you'd do better to post in the proper place.
"operating systems" under topics
this would get you possibly better answers, and save our moderators some work.

FWIW i use Win_Me and i'm pretty happy with it.
beats 98se IMO

i think win98se is better than win2k.....
at least my duron will run 1000 on win98se but not win2k......<-- bsod about hardware stuff

but i m stuck with win2k since my cd writer(hp 8/4/32) wont burn any cd in win98se without screwing up

I have a dual boot setup with Win ME and 98se. They are equal for OCing with my setup. Never tried 2k, NT WS, or XP though. Too many horror stories.
