HEY,
Just a quick q's for all you tech/ocers out there...
what do you think is a sorta 100% safe voltage for a Duron with a FOP-38 6,800 delta still on there?
atm it is 800 @ 1045 1.8v, idles at around 30 and full load is 35-37.5 (winter in aus).

well I run my Duron @ 1050 (7.5x140) on 1.85 volts with a FOP-32 with a Y-tech spinning @ 4400 rpm and runs all day without any problems and have done since I got it. CPU temp @ 35 c .. System temp @ 25 c (both loaded)
I personally think that the voltage your running is ok and not somthing I would worry about

my duron 900 is running happily at 1103@1.85volts . for quite a while now. with adequate cooling 1.85 is perfectly safe some run as high as 2.1

1.88volt for my duron 750@990 (7.5*132)
running on a7v mobo and fop32 with 4500rpm fan for cooling

The absolute top voltage that my duron would handle (with a max load temp of 53C) on a FOP38 was 2.05. Of course it depends on your cooling, but to step to 1.98 should be ok. [HINT: you should stop by the cpu database on the home page ... look up your chip and see what voltages other people have run with similar setups] Hope this helps!

Water cooled ORB!! WTF?!?!?!?!?!?! Heh. Those voltages are a little high for just 1050 mhz, don't you think? I can get my Duron 800 to 1050 on 1.85v, but I get occasional errors in Prime95 under torture test.
* FIX * Sorry... just noticed that it was Duron 700.

YES! I took an orb from my A7V, filed it down, drilled two holes down the length of it and attached it to a 85 gph water pump on my KT7. Oh by the way temp under load doesn't break 45C
But back to the question at hand - I believe most duron systems 'can' (depending heavily on the cooling situation) easily handle a small increase in core voltage.
