Here's the site (http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/mainboards/display/20031013115400.html)
I read this on X-Bit Labs site. Has anyone else heard about this?
If you have please post what you know about this board.
When is this board commming out?
I'm planning on upgrading to Athlon XP with NF7-S motherboard but should I wait for the AN7?

nobody?
Well, that article pretty much states all the info on the Abit AN7 that is available right now. Supposedly it will be available by the end of this month, but I haven't seen any indication of it so far. The only differences between the AN7 and the NF7-S that I can tell is that the AN7 has the MCP-S southbridge (built in SATA on the southbridge) compared to the NF7-S' MCP-T southbridge (SATA is provided by a Silicon Image chipset). Also, the AN7 has a uGuru (http://www.abit-usa.com/technology/uguru.php) processor.
As for whether you should wait for the AN7, I'm not really sure, especially since no one has seen any indication. If it will be officially released at the end of October, it will most likely be in stores in the 2nd or 3rd week of November. Also the NF7-S v2.0 is a very good option as it is.
Seems to me if you plan to run SATA drives then it might be worth waiting for as the on-board controller should provide a good jump in the performance of these drives. It sounds like it might be a bit pricey to start with but that should settle down after a few weeks. The NF7-S Ver 2.0 is one of the best nForce2 boards out there currently so either way you'll be getting a good MoBo.

Edit: Hey Aslan is that an Ocicat or a Maine Coon cat? Sure looks like my wife's Ocicat
The cat is just a mutt. :D
I think she's part Tabby, part Abyssinian, part Burmese and maybe something else. ;)
After looking at some pics, her face and chest pattern does kind of look like an Ocicat's, a bit funny. ;)

Another thing about this new board is that it comes with Abit's new µGuru features. There features are detailed here (http://www.abit.com.tw/event/uGuru.htm)
