I have my voltage setting on this mobo at 1.888. I can't get my my Athlon Tbird 800 to boot with the multiplier set to 10. (temps are not problem) Is there anyway i can the VCore up to say 1.95 or something?
Thanks
Doug

U will have to do the voltmod to get higher voltages. U can find out more about the mod on the main page.
Good luck

BTW u will have to have some very good cooling, cuz the extra volteges create more heat, so u must be careful.

what is you fsb and are you using bios or jumpers/dipswitches to oc i have a7v kt133 chip set with Tbird 850 oc to 1000mhz you can do it with 133x7.5 or 100x10 at 1.88 core voltage 133x7.5 is faster even though cpu mhz is the same i found that using jumpers to set voltage and dipswitches to set fsb and cpu multiplier( if you have both sets of dipswitches) seems to be more stable i couldnt get my bios to oc as well as with hardware also make sure you have the L1 bridges connected well also i use a vantec socket A/462 HSF with delta 7000 rpm fan and 52 cfm sunon intake fan with ps exh fan and mb temp never hotter than 32c and cpu temp never hotter than 42c under full load Good Luck 8)

well my FSB setting is only at 105 i can't it any higher than that, it always crashes. I'm using Jumper mode since i have both dip switches. i just can't get it to boot with 100mhz x 10 multiplier.
Has anyone here done the Voltage mod on the Asus A7V? I'm a bit afraid of bring the ol iron onto my board. Is it an easy job? i read the Toms Hardware article but i was still a bit weary. Any input would be great.

Hey Galaxy2x4,

I was having a similar problem i also have the same set up as you with Asus a7v and a tbird 800. At first i couldnt boot at 9x Multi or at 9.5x multi. So i decided to try 10x Multi and it worked. So what i am saying is maybe you should try a higher Multi maybe that might work. But i did the Voltage Mod to my mobo pretty simple. The most i can get out of it is 1050mhz. Wont boot at any higher then that. And thats with 1.98vcore. I dont have Great cooling but i think it decent and i live in Cali so it gets Really hot here.

My setup wont let me go past 1.85v. Though I have my 900 tbird is running rock solid at 1100 @ 1.80v. I wont increase the volts till I start having issues.
