what does The 3Dnow! do on AMD chips tell me in human Terms.

I think it is 21 instructions for 3d video and sound! in english helps with cool multimedia stuff!

its more or less a slim down and mix of sse and mmx like in the Pentium chips

It's a bunch of special instructions for the chip to do multimedia with, meant to compete with Intel's MMX and SSE. It works really well on games, but not many programmers use it.
