Anyone ever find out the problem with the 1.4's hanging up at windows start?

Just wondering if anyone came accross the problem/solution of the 1.4's locking up as windows starts... I've heard it is the kt7a, then i heard psu , then windows reg. problem.. anyone know?

I can pretty much guarantee you that this problem would be due to either the board and it's drivers or the memory. With a 400w PSU that's not going to be the problem (I don't know why people always blame the PSU, but I've never had a single problem based on one even one running at 230w). The CPU itself is not going to be the problem unless it's totally bad.

By the way, I had a similar problem with an A7V.

I read it was because of the way they have to set the mult, the proc uses the X5 mult as 14 on some boards ( kind of like using the 2X mult as 6 on the older super 7 boards). May just need a bios update to clear it up.
