I have an Athlon 1.4Ghz in the mail on its way to my home, and I was wonder (as I await its arrival) if there is anything special I should know about it? Any Problems with it? Does it come with any special elemental spells? Has anyone yet tried to overclock one?

well from what I have heard you probably should have gotton something under that because they are all or at least most hitting the same overclock barrier whether it be a 1ghz or a 1.4 , if its the mp I dont think they are overclocking real well in most cases.

Ah, well, it was my parents' money, so I'm not going to sweat too much. The overclockers.com CPU database has records of 1333s going to 1866. If I can get my 1400 to 1433, I'll be happy, since it's my first computer anyway. (exclusively mine, that is, rather than being a communal family machine.)

With good cooling, you should be able to get 1600mhz out of her.
The key to overclocking, is not to set your sights too high.That way, anything you do get is a bonus :)

i just got my 1.4 yesterday, running 1500, 10x150 right now temps around 41C with an Alpha on it looking at the glaciator
