Just wondering, is anyone here subscribed to the MS Action Pack? I know the next quartly shipment is due to be sent out at the end of this month. Has anyone heard if they will be including the new Office 2003 program in this shipment?
Have not heard about anythink about this...linky ?
It's for MS Registered Partners. To become a Registered MS Partner, you need to register your company with MS. It's easy & only takes a few minuets. After registering, then you can buy the MS Action Pack (http://members.microsoft.com/partner/salesmarketing/partnermarket/actionpack/actionpackus.aspx) Subscription. With the Subscription you get:
Not-for-Distribution Software
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional with Service Pack 1
Microsoft SQL ServerTM 2000 Developer Edition
Service Pack 3A for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition
Microsoft Mobile Information Server 2002
Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server
Service Pack 1 for Microsoft ISA Server
Microsoft SharePointTM Portal Server 2001
Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001
Microsoft Windows ServerTM 2003 Enterprise Edition

Plus a bunch of other stuff. Also for Win XP & Office you get 10 licenses each. You also get 10 licenses for another 1 or 2 of the programs. PLEASE NOTE this is all Not-for-Distribution Software. Meaning that it can only be used by people in your company. This is a yearly subscription service. After this initial "Welcome Kit", you get three quartly update kits. To join I think it costs $299, then $199 per year renewal. I got in on it when they had a deal on to join for $99. There was a thread about it in the Cyber Deals fourm a good while back. I know I've been really happy with it, I have a small company (real small), & ended up with more software than computers to put it on. :D I just noticed that I answered my own post, they are including the new MS Office 2003. :D  I'm hoping that they have another deal on by the time I have to renew. If not, well I guess I'll just have to cough up $200 bux.

This was a great deal for the $99 :) Like ya said more software than computers, but we're loving it!
But will the 2003 versions come in the update pack, or when I renew my subscription?

Depends on when your subscription runs out. They should send you some emails when it's getting close. But if you'r one year subscription hasn't run out, you should be getting your update pack sometime at the first of next month. And it DOES have Office 2003 it it with lots of other new goodies. I was just getting use to Office XP. Oh well, I've tried out the beta for Office 2003 & its very stable. So looking forward to trying out the final release. ;)
