Which way is your CPUs HSF blowing?

Hello all,

I am just curious to see which way your CPUs HSF is blowing or sucking??

I tested it both ways and for some reason mine cools better sucking air off the CPU

Well my GW CAK38 is blowing air into the HSF.

Update: I actually got 2 fans blowing (one from the side of the heatsink)

I have 2 fans blowing. I have been thinking of trying the other way. Works great now though.

Mine is blowing down onto it, I tried it the other way and didn't really notice any difference in temp. I am going to add a couple of fans blowing in the sides and have the fan shoot the air toward an exhaust fan.

i think most of the time the fans blow on to the heatsink

its the age-old blow or suck problem.... i have my delta sucking.... works great, and helps with overall airflow in the case... dont think it make much of a difference......

I have a duct blowing onto the HSF and the HSF blowing onto the heatsink with a front case fan sucking. This has been a question of mine as well and until an hour ago it was doing exactly opposite.

Results sucking: System temp 35c, Cpu Temp 53c, delta 18c
blowing: System temp 38c, Cpu Temp 47c, delta 9c
FOP32
I think I will keep it blowing. (yes I know my system temp is kinda high but my house a/c is dying)

I am curious, how did you mount the second fan on the side of the FOP 32? I have this heatsink and wouldn't mind trying that out. Which fan did you use for it?

My Delta 38 sucks air from my PAL6035, per Alpha's instructions. I've heard it works better this way with this hsf.

My two Y.S.-Tech 26 cfm fans are blowing onto my GW heatsink. Makes a 2 degree difference.

My Swiftech is blowing onto the heatsink as per their instructions. I haven't tried it the other way though.
