SATA / IDE question

I have an Asus P4P800 and it has SATA connection

My question is
can i connect a SATA as boot drive and use the IDE channel 1 as storage????
can both be enable at the same time???

Sure you can. It's all determined in BIOS setup (BOOT section) and if you use Windows NT4/2000pro/XP(pro) you can use all channels however you want...
