I have my AXIA o/c @ 1.2 , but hwen playing games eg Counter-Strike, the video tends freeze. its not the system freezing, just the video as i can still hear guns etc and my own footprints if i move. is this anything to do with my Chaintech Geforce MX200 or the fact that the axia is o/c ?
i need help! (there are people on CS that need a good wipping)

It shouldnt be the AXIA overclock, unless the FSB is at outrages speeds. Is your video card overclocked?

im not sure if my video card is o/c . i haven't done anything to it. now this fsb confuses me, cos in the bios I have 120 mhz X 10.0. Is my fsb 120 or is it 240?

Your fsb is 120 , that would be your problem , I am surprized that it will even start a game considering that the video card is so out of spec , try uping the multiplier and dropping the fsb to help this

i have done what you said , and i am now waiting to see if it happens again (not yet!). thanks for help guys, oh btw. how outrageous did i have my FSB on? i thuoght some CPUs had 266fsb

Athlons and Durons run on a 'dual-pumped' bus, basically DDR, so running a system fsb of 133MHz means that your cpu would be running on a 266MHz bus. Likewise a fsb of 100MHz means 200 for the cpu, and your 120MHz fsb would be a bus of 240.
Anyway, that's what the 200/266 means in the descriptions of Tbirds. If your mobo supports it, you could try running a fsb of 133 rather than 100, and drop your cpu multiplier. That'd improve performance and keep the other components in spec. A multiplier of 9 would keep the cpu running at 1200MHz, and you could then try and oc higher by raising the fsb again. Chances are if you can't oc any higher than 1200 it's because some other component (the graphics card by the sounds of it) can't take the high fsb. Your AXIA may go a lot higher... :)

do you know how i can find out how much FSB increase my video card can take? i suppose i'll just have to go trial and error ey?
Well see it all depends. AGP divider is sometimes 1/3 and sometimes 1/4 of the FSB bus. So 100 *1/3 is 33 mhz, this is normal AGP speed. If you do 120, and the divider is still 1/3 , then you have a 40 mhz AGP bus, and your AGP bus is overclocked mhz, but if you go to 133, the divider changes to 1/4 so the AGP bus is 33 mhz again. So you are less overclocking your card at 133 mhz FSB, then at 120 Mhz. Hope this helps!

Aman what happens if you up it to say 140? would the agp buss be 1/3 or 1/4 ?

The PCI divisor at 140MHz would be 1/4. It will be 1/3 from 100, and 1/4 from 133.
Hi everyone,
I posted a topic similar to this about a month ago. At the time, I was running my 1gigAXIA @ 1406 (148x9.5) on my Iwill KK266 with a Geforce2 GTS. While gaming, mostly UT, my computer started to freeze. I thought nothing of it and would just reboot. Then, on one day while I was gaming, the same thing happened. I had a feeling I just had to underclock it, but it was too late. I pressed the reboot as usual, and NOTHING. Not even into the bios. I then proceeded to check all connectors and made sure my heatsinks were on properly. I ultimately came to the conclusion that it was my motherboard. I called IWILL and they sent me another one. SAME THING. Still wouldn't boot to the bios. Too keep a long story short, I killed my Geforce2. Got another one, and now it works fine. I'm playing it safe now and keeping my 1gig@1120(140x8).
Maybe instead of just being safe and clocking it 140 FSB, u should just clock it to 133 FSB and up it to 1400 (10.5x133). Won't overclock your video card then. I mean i'd rather have 1400 mhz than 1120 :)

what operating system are you running as there is an issue with amd t'birds , agp and win 2k that can be fixed with reg patch from amd wesite or off microsoft cant remember which i got it off
