Okay, first of all i want to start of with my system specs:
P4 2.4c @ 3.01 Ghz
P4P800 Deluxe
Geil 512 Value pc3200
Geil 256 Value pc3200
9800pro
Audigy 2
Settings in bios:
250 CPU
320 DDR freq. 5/4 divider
1.7v AGP
2.85v DDR
okay, now i would like to ask some question, i'm currently researching memory that i would like to replace the geil with. Right now I have my eye on the Mushkin PC3500 Level 2 1GB dual kit.
What is the importance of running ram in sync? and with this ram @ 5:4 ratio will i be able to run tight timings and achieve 3.2ghz or higher Oc's? sorry, im noob when it comes to memory.
lastly, is it more of an advantage to just stay single or should i go dual? my memory bandwidth is around 3 gigs right now with the geil
