Ok, I want to get some ideas for a watercooled rig I'm going to be doing here soon. I want people who have done watercooling to give posts, like what type of radiator or bong :) they use, what type of waterblock, what is cheapest, best, pumps, wildest, and whatever else you can think of while you are at it. I want to build something absolutely crazy but possible -- IT MUST TURN HEADS!!! but not be dangerous. ANYTHING GOES!!

And while you are at it, post some comments on peltiers too. :)

*Update* I just thought of something. This is the wrong thread. Well, if it helps, it is going to be an Athlon processor.

I'm using a DangerDen copper Cooling Cube, with one of their 'maze' waterblocks. I can't really say anything about performance, as I don't have anything to compare them to. If you want to know about relative performance, http://www.procooling.com have a radiator shootout coming up soon - ought to be within the week, if you can wait. A bit of advice for any watercooled system though - use distilled water, or boil tap water to kill off any algae etc in it. I ran with boiled water, no additives for a few months with no algae problems, then by mistake I topped the system up with ordinary tap water and within a week everything was looking green and furry! I use antifreeze to kill off anything in the water now, and many people use 'water-wetter' to improve the thermal conductivity of the water.

Try and make sure the waterblock and radiator (and any other metal in the system such as a reservoir) are the same metal to avoid corrosion, or make sure you add a corrosion inhibitant like antifreeze.

One more thing - be sure to either have filters on your fans or to take out your radiator and clean it regularly (every month or so). They easily get clogged up with dust, which obviously reduces their cooling ability.

I too use the DD Cube and MAZE2 system. I run it with an Eheim 1250 Hobby Pump with 315gph. I love it, I put 1 120mm YS-Tech fan on one side pulling air through and put another on the other side yesterday pushing it through for maximum air flow. I now have dropped my idle from 26C to 22-23C and my load went from 29C to 25-26C. This is with a straight water setup. I am gonna need to get more waterwetter but this is what I get now and my ambient room temps are 21C. Trust me, DD is the best quality and you can ask around.

Well, here´s mine! Partly self made parts; i.e. waterblocks and water reservoir.
120mm Radiator from cool-computers.com, 120mm silent-running fan, a Maxi-Jet PH MP 1200 from World Pet Store. All connected with 3/8 silocone rubber hoses. Pump, res. fan and radiator mounted together on a relatively stiff plastic foam plate, for easy removal, when needed.
Running my AVIA "Y" 1133@1507mhz, idle temp 32C / 45C max load.
Fan on top of CPU-waterblock was needed just because of mobo demand, HS from a P90, fitted nicely at the top of the waterblock. For more details, you are welcome to mail me! Sorry for the bad pic, but it will give you an idea :) OOPS!! My attachment was too heavy! Sorry! I may mail it to whoever interested :)

Nobody has said anything about tower watercooling. I don't want to spend too much on a radiator, but I will probably get a DD Maze or Maze 2 waterblock, or have a buddy make one, a good aquarium pump, and a system built into the case. I will have the tubing go to the back of the case via quick disconnect, or maybe nipples so I can take the computer and system seperate of eachother. What would be a good watercooler? Radiator, bong, new design, or anything?
