Hello folks!
Total newby at o/clocking. I just got that k6-266 on my out of puff machine and I would like to squeeze as much juice as possible out of it. Here my system spec.
System Spec:
M/board: Giga-Byte GA586T2 with Triton TX430 chipset.
CPU: Pentium AMD K6-266 MHz
RAM: 256 MB sdram pc133
HDD: Samsung 4.3 GB
Monitor: AcerView 54eL
CDD: Mitshubishi Diamond Data 40X
V/card: Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 with S3DX virge chipset and 4MB.
S/card: Soundblaster 16.
O/S: Win 95B
I've got no documentation on the chip and on checking up at AMD's site, I could not work out how to go about it.
All help very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Just so you don't think you are being ignored.

Probably no one has that setup so that's why there are no replies.

FWIW when I had my K6 2-500 it would only go to 550,

K6 + K6-2's don't do much more.

And Welcome to the forum :-)

Thanks Lion for the welcome.
And I appreciate your comforting note. You could well be right.
I' ve managed to get it to run at 300 => 13% extra?
Could not get any better. For some reasons the system refuses to boot up on 75 MHz though the book says it can do it.
