Got my new Tbird...and it looks unlocked...I mean, the L1 bridges don't look cut at all...especially compared to some of the other bridges that ARE cut. Did they come up with a new way of locking the CPU? Or could it be that my moboard really doesn't allow changing of multipliers? I bought trace tape and tried it on my 700 originally...and that never worked...no matter HOW perfect it looked. So maybe that is why the new one isn't working right? I have a Abit Kt7-raid...with KT133 chipset. hmmph. Any ideas?

Just guessing maybe their is a setting in the bios or a jumper to close on the board that allows clock multiplier changes , just take a look in the book or message TT120 , I think he has the same board or I know its at least the same brand

nope, I'm quite positive there is nothing like that. It uses softmenu III, so everything is in the BIOS...there are no settings in there either that allow it to lock the multiplier...I mean...I can change it, but it makes no difference, it's stuck at 9x...

What is your FSB set at I ahve the same problem I set my multiplier at 12 and my FSB @ 104 works fine now but this is not what I call overclocking ....so like you I am still waiting for a solution
