Unlocking the multiplier on Athlon cpu

I read an article on unlocking the multiplier on the Athlon CPU and wonder if anyone has done this. Basically it said use a graphite pencil and colour over the L1 bridges on the top of the CPU. Sounds too easy. Anyone know anything about this.

almost all of us overclockers have done this in our overclocking lives unless the have a thunderbird or something
well u can use a pencil to connect the bridges or u can use a defogger kit it will be more permanent
and i guess it does sound to easy but who cares it helps use overclock
