OK, I'm looking to get a new cpu soon. I want a 1.33ghz tbird w/ a good stepping so i can overclock fairly high. should i just get the cheapest cpu on pricewatch and hope it has a good stepping? or should i dump the extra dough and buy a axia cpu from one of those stores that know its axia (i'm on an extreamly tight budget) also has anyone recently bought a 1.33 for cheap and got a good stepping code, if so please post the store.

Thanks

I got one for $149 and it was an Ayhja stepping, they are supposedly better than AXIA even. I got it at newegg.com. I'd say you have i'd say a 95% chance of getting either a AXIA or Ayhja though no matter where u get it.

I know you aren't supposed to advertise on these forums, so I will just say, at the store that I work... we are selling computers with 1.33 Athlons at the rate of about 1 every couple days. I'm looking at the cores right now... we have 2 Ayjha chips in. That is all I think I have ever seen... Axia and Ayjha (at least in the 1.33 chips). I sold my friend a 1.2 about a month ago... it was an Avia chip, and I almost bought an Axia 1ghz about a week ago... but prices have actually gone up for the lower chips recently.
