I have a question.
K, I have a n IC7-G, P4 2.6C, OCZ Dual Chan. Perf. EL PC3500 RAM (which seems to crap out at about 230mhz @ 2.5,7,3,3). I can't get it above 260 prime or game stable. I can get it to boot into Windows at 270, but that is all. 260 at 1.65Vcore (mbm), any higher voltage doesn't do didly **** to help getting any higher. I have had it crash a couple of times, so I lowered it to 258. I was expecting more. Would anyone know why it does this? If I set the RAM to 3:2 it doesn't help at all either. I doubt it is my RAM. I had my GAT set at normal, 5, disabled, disabled and it didn't do anything either (except maybe 1 MHz). Anybody know why it won't go higher? NB, RAM, CPU, etc..?

Oh ya, cooling, SLK-900U with Panaflow 92mm.

Edit: Don't mind the sig, I had it stable at 265 when I first got it with BIOS 1.3

Dude, average is 3.2 to 3.4 with good cooling. You're on the upper end of average. That's a good overclock. Maybe try better n/b cooling, that might help a little, but don't expect too much more, you're probably about at the limit for air cooling.

ok, cool. Thanks for the reply. What is the average for water cooling if I may ask?

If you cool it some more with water or prommy you may get to 3.6 or 3.7ghz, although it may not be your CPU holding you back, could be the board, also try raising FSB in single channel mode see what happens...

Probably more like 3.5 gig give or take with water cooling. With phase change like Mark says, maybe 3.6 to 3.8 gig average )assuming your mobo and RAM don't hold you back).
