Ok, well I just picked up a new 9800np the other day. I also have a 9600pro with the zalman heatpipe cooler on it. I plan on buying the mcw50-t in a couple of weeks. I was at Radio Shack today and they had everything I needed to do the gpu volt-mod. I just have a couple of questions.

First, It says you need this to do the mod: 10KW 0.75W 15-Turn PC-Mount Trimmer. I just noticed mine is 10KW 1.25w 15-Turn PC-Mount Trimmer. Will this work????

Second, If I take the zalman heatpipe cooler off of my 9600pro, and put it on my 9800np and perform the volt-mod. Will it be cool enough to run it, until I got my mcw50-t??

I don't plan on taking it up to 1.825v+, until I get better cooling. Any help will be great!

TIA guys!!!!

Update: I pull the Zalman heatpipe cooler off my 9600pro. I only got 2mhz gain from that. I cut a hole for my Delta 80mm fan on the side panel right over my card. That fan alone blows 85cfm I believe. I also installed my modified slot cooler that pushes around 35cfm. I got a total so far of 10mhz, and 4mhz on the memory.

I still need to know if I should do the volt mod. In other words...

BUMP!

TIA Guys!!

P.S. Where is krag and mac and qwerty when you need them. :D

That v-r is fine for it.

You should be able to add some voltage with that cooling, just not too much. You can at least try and see if you can get any gain.
