Is the Svideo/Tv-out plug on a Gainward GF4 mx460 different than most S-video? I notice that it is some slightly different plug. Anyone have experience with this? Or anyone have an extra cord that converts to RCA?

Any one know? Or can you post a picture of the adaptor that came with your card?

Unfortunately there are a lot of different standards for the s-video jacks on video cards, and no one seems to use the same thing. Usually they ship an s-video cable or adapter with the card though.

ok if you drop Gainward's Head Office in Taiwan an e-mail and tell them that you require a Svideo/Tv-out plug for your card and state what card it is, they will most probably throw one out in the post to you.

That's strange, I thought S-Video was universal. I have an S-Video cord that works for my TV-Cable/Computer-TV/PS2-TV. I got it at Radio Shack.

S-Video is universal, but as posted above some vid card manufacturers use a proprietary socket on the video card wich then hooks up to one of thier adaptors that has s-video component and sometimes composite on the other end.

I have a MSI Ti4200 and am just running into the same problem. When they say S-Video they mean kinda-sorta. Tab A does not fit into Slot B, and I have the adapter that came with the Video Card. It simply does not plug into the Video Card. Yay.

Well, the most common thing to do, is to have more holes in the s-video socket. So a normal S-video cable fits nicely, but the card can also output composite if you use a cable that uses those holes.

But normal s-video cabes doesn't fit at all? Well, THAT'S user friendly!
