WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF BUILDING AN UNOVERCLOCKED STABLE SYSTEM WITH GENERIC PC100 128MEG AND 300W PSU WITH A NAME I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF?

I would say fair. As long as you aren't trying to overclock the bus speed, the PC-100 works fine. I had some 7NS Generic PC-100 memory in my last Duron 700 @ 900 with an average 250W power supply and it worked fine. However it came down to more of a inkling in my head that I should really improve on some parts ( like P/S) and PC-133 memory was starting to drop like a rock then. Otherwise you should be fine. You may want to go to AMD's web site and look at their recommended Power Supply list. Maybe your 300W unit is on there, you never know.

If you do plan to overclock by increasing the Bus speed from 100MHz make sure you have some decent memory or it will end the party pretty quickly.
