I just bought my 9800 Pro last week.... As far as where my reciept is, heck if I know, but I think Circuit City can print one up for me.

Hmmmmm, from what I just read ONLY ATI cards (built by) can use this offer. This offer does not apply to bulk OEM (White box) versions of the foregoing products and does not apply to any other ATI products or partner products. This is a rip from the offer. Looks like I am out of luck cause I just bought a Gigacube 9800 pro last week.:( Gigacube or any other 2nd party manufacturer is considered a partner. Correct me if I am wrong here.........?

Wouldnt be surprised since its ATi who made the deal with Valve. Generally you dont see an Abit bundle being the same as a Asus bundle...see what im saying? It could very well be that, with the exception of the 9800XT and 9600XT, that Valve has restricted the deal to BBA cards only.

Welp, I took the plunge and just bought me a 9800 XT BB ATI for $485 shipped. It does have the free HL2 coupon. I tried to buy one direct from ATI but they don't have any 9800 XT's available for purchase.

I was just in bestbuy on S.I. New York....
only the 9600xt seemed to have the sticker with the free HL2.
I did see the sale on the 9800pro...yet nothing was stated about the free HL2.
I would have asked about it, if I saw this first....
btw, did you get the rebate in the box or at the cash register?

Well the offer was there at the link, and i specifically saw the 9800 Pro, 9800, 9600 Pro, and 9600 along with the XT cards.

Well I called ATI customer service and they said that the offer was still good for ALL - BBA 9800 and 9600 products bought after 10/1/03. Just hang on to your box and sales receipt... He didn't know why the site was taken offline. Also, be sure to register your new card online asap....

I got a 9600 Pro but I ordered it from an online store I found at pricewatch.com. Anyone know if I apply for this offer? I read through the posts above but nobody really seems to know, lol.

Yeah, I haven't been able to get my offer eithe ( even though I'm eligible ). I think the only way is to ask. I have emailed my retailer (happens to be Best Buy) and I have also emailed ATi about it. Hopefully I'll get a promising answer :P

My free HL2 coupon printed at the register - you have to send that, the receipt and UPC from the box to an address somewhere i cant remember and they send you a keycode to download HL2, plus ATI will mail you the original CDs when they are released. If you bought a card from BB, they did have the coupon online on their website for you to print out - look up the 9800pro and it should say "free gift" (or it did the other day)
