i ordered a sapphire 9800 card and recieved it today. i installed it and noticed that it would only read and install this as a 9800 pro card. i looked at the card and only thing i see is the word saphire on the fan. it has infeneon ram. i was wondering if anyone knew how i could find out for sure what this card is and how to check the speeds / core etc. i score 16867 on the lowest settings in 3dmark2001se and almost 7000 on the max settings. and i scored 5307 on high res final fantasy xi benchmark.

Download rage 3d and see what the default clock speeds are for the card.

after i restarted i looked around in the rage3d and the bars were default on 324.00mhz (core)/ 390.25mhz (mem)

so is that my core/memclock?

are you sure that's not 324/290?

Pro cards go up to 380/340.

non pro cards are at 325/290.

nothing is at 390.

your card should be a Non Pro.

well, the 390 was an accident. it was 290. but its new non-artifact speed is 410/324

well, it's a non pro then. but overclock is not bad.

should i flash it to a pro?

ahh.... hmmm... depends on what RAM you have.

probably not a good idea because your RAM is not running at Pro speeds.

i noticed agp options in my bios not loo long ago. one that changed the agp voltage and one was to change something else, the speed or something. my range for changing was 66-99. whats that for?

It's the AGP bus speed, changing it will give more bandwidth between the computer and the video card, but it doesn't help at all, and it can make the computer become unstable.
