asus a7a266 bios ver1004 temps ?

First post ! Kinda new to OCing , but managed to get get 1@1.1 with fsb . I've heard the 1004 adds 10f to the posted cpu temps , Has anyone set a probe one the cpu to determine whether or not this is the actual temp , or an attempt by ASUS to discourage OCing ? I was very happy @ 115f full load with win fop 38 & 2 60mm pulling , 2 pushing . I'm at 140f at idle now .

For some reason mine is like that too. I hope it is just the temp sensor. I have my Duron 750 @ 920 122fsb X 7.5. My mulitplier won't unlock with a mechanical pencil??? :( I am always at 48C idle load, anything always 48C.

Don't panic guys, Cpu temp is really the same in 1003b or 1005.005 beta bios's

It's just adding an extra 10c or approx onto actual cpu temps
Tested with probe and other guys have to just to make sure
So don't panic

also on about high Cpu temps........first sign of high-temp probs are lockups usually in heavy 3d apps (games/benchtesters) as long as HSF aint glowing or molten or accrid smoke billowing outa ya case chill n relax and pump that puppy til it bleats lol
