Tried unlocking my Duron 750.

I tried to unlock it, and i still can't change the frequency? I used a regular mechanical pencil. Should i try a #2 pencil? I really wouldn't like to use the rear window defogger kit.

most mechanical pencils ARE no. 2...but if it wasn't i would still use a mechanical pencil (they tend to write much smaller lines) as you would not like to burn your processor up by the fat lines of a regular pencil. Not saying it can't be done, it is just for 2 dollars at wal mart you can get a 5 pack of no 2 .5 mm mechanical pencils.

I went through a similar process when I first unlocked my duron. My suggestion would be to just give in and go buy the rear defroster kit. Trust me it will save you time. It just more reliable and durable. BTW I could never get the mechanical pencil traces to work.
