CPU is good, HDD is good, You don't need 1024 meg of ram even for Win2K, Video card could be better get a GeForce 3, The on-board sound is great, no need for MX300 unless you have 5.1 surround, Yamaha waste proof is no match for Burn-Proof, Get a Plextor, Hitachi DVD is good, There are better HSF than the Elan; http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q2/010521/cooler-13.html

the gainward cardexpert geforce2 twinview golden sample vivo won in a comparison in tomshardware
it has a utility that enables you to overclock it and toms
thought it was the best out of the six or so geforce2 cards....as for a case i have looked at a bunch and like the antec sx1040 comes with a 400watt smart
power supply very nice looking case comes with two 80m/m fans and has two more holes up front for two additonal fans....as far as sound the diamond mx300 has been recommened to me by several people because of a the inputs and outs on the card....the enlight cases are nice too...as is the enermax, they have a cs series that has two usb 1 eee1394 and audio ports on the bottom front of the case....I like the asus Ipanel, dont know if you are familiar with it but it has usb's and several other functions, cpu temp, fan speed, hot buttons for four functions but is only usable for certain asus mobo's....have you seen anything like this on the market??? If you have please tell me about it as the box I am building will be used in graphics and multi-media....http://www.directon.com/ has a shop by manufacturer option for shopping that is very helpful when looking for cases...hope this helps
