When using windows about every min or 2 the comp lockups up for about 1-2 sec, its a real pain mp3's skip playing 3dgames is a real pain...i dont know what too do about it. Here is my sys:

Asus A7A266
T-bird 1.33 o/c to 1533 at 1.825v
768megs pc133
2 plextor scsi drives (with adaptec card)
40gig maxtor ide hd
sb live
Elsa Geforce2 gts
Netgear NIC
300watt powersupply

I suspect the powersupply b/c when the comp is sitting idle all of a sudden asus monitor will pop up and say one of the voltages has dropped like 12v to 7.5 but its only for a sec, and these drops dont seem to be at the same time as the failures. Please let me know what you think

what are you running in the background? If it pauses every 2 seconds then it is being tasked to do something. The 12V line feed mainly the drives and fans. Unless you then to run everything at the same time then the PSU is not the problem.

I had something very similar to this, except that I noticed it only did it while I was accessing the LAN at my college. After I changed NICs the problem went away.

good luck

I've also had this problem from time to time while running a hardware monitoring program in the backround.

Got an answer from someone in the amd mb forum, the iPanel causes it, i unplugged it and its fine, kinda sucks that its made for my motherboard, a bios rev will probably fix it later on
