9800 Pro at BB...

Ok, this week BB has the 9800 pro for $350 before rebates and $300 after rebates and it also comes with a voucher for HL2.

Is the retail card decent?

Or I was thinking of actually waiting for HL2 to come out and just buy a 9800 pro at newegg (probably a sapphire).

The biggest issue is that HL2 probably won't comeout until spring 2004 but if it comes out earlier, then the BB retail card aint so bad.

Right now I'm leaning towards waiting but I really don't know.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thats a sweet deal. I am gonna have to call newegg tomarrow and see if I can refuse delivery and get a refund for my 9800np and then get this instead.

YES , the retail BBA cards are the best to get . The deal at BB for $300 is a very good deal (including getting HL2 for free is a nice added bonus ) .
I would jump on this deal myself if I did not already have a BBA 9800 Pro .
I think you should give the BB deal some good quick consideration before they sell out of them .

Hmmmm, Yeah I think I might buy it today.
The retail card has a 2 year warranty as well, so i figure i can risk watercooling that sucker.

Added note ... not sure if it was just a type "o" on your part , but the newer retail cards come with a 3yr warranty
