Hi Everybody,
Anyone running an AMD Barton XP3000 at 200 FSB (either 11 or 13 multipler) on the MSI KT6 Delta?
I tried bumping voltage up to 1.85 and memory to 2.85. I can POST but cant boot into windows. The highest I have been able to get has been 180 FSB
Anyone got this to work before I start bumping up the voltage?
No, I dont know the stepping I forgot to write it down after I installed it.

i've got the k7n2-l board with my barton 3000+ (333fsb) at 200x12 with 1.75 vcore

i've never gotten my xp3000+ to boot into windows with a clock speed of over or eaqual to 2500mhz no matter what the voltage is.

edit: with stock multiplier 13x i can get 189fsb stable but i have gotten it to boot into windows with a 192fsb but with stability issues.

I didnt try the 200x11 combination, I will do that tonite. Dris, Did you have to do anything special to unlock your Barton multiplier, or did you just change the multipler in the BIOS?

I can't change my Barton's multiplier to anything other than Auto (13). The most I have been able to do is 180 FSB with stability.

Does anyone know if the KT6 Delta will really unlock the multipler ? Or do I have to get one of the unlocking kits, or should I just get the A7NX8 (like I originally should have..).

I guess its ok even with 180 FSB I score 17770 3D2001 marks. Not too shabby...

i had to do the wire trick to unlock the lower multipliers. in my bios without the wire trick the lower multipliers are higher ie: 7x was really 15x. 8x was 16x and so on...but with the wire trick it unlocks the lower multipliers so it is really 7x, 8x and so on... except the 13multi was 5x with the wire in. so it really only goes up to 12.5

Well, I did the wire mod tonight and unlocked my multiplier. My results were hardly outstanding: I could run 200x11 "stable" at 1.85V. I tried 200x11.5 and 200x12 at 2.00v but 3dmark2001 would exit.
The ****er was, when I was at 200x11 I scored 17110 3dmark01 and 2803 in the Sandra memory benchmark. At 166x13 I score 16800 and 2553. WTF? Even at 180x13 I can score 17770 with stability and stock voltage. CPU temp stayed at a reasonable level of 45-50 thru the benchmarks even at high voltage.

I guess the Baron 3000 just sucks for overclocking. I guess the higher multipler does something to squeak better performance out of the chip.

Oh and this time I wrote down my Baron info

Dris, thanks for your help.

np, i had a big performance increase when i changed it my 3dmark03 scores went up about 100 marks. i am at 12x200. i dont know what my steppings are i will find out next time i take it out.

MSI KT6 Delta FISR

Hi
I have got my Barton 2500+ running as a 3200+. That is from a 1.8 Ghz to a 2.2 Ghz on my KT6 Delta FISR.

All I have done is upped the FSB to 200. I haven't changed the multiplier, although it does allow me to do so, but I need more information about what can happen if I do and what i should look out for if I try it. Also if I need to alter the vcore valtage.....

Temp is averaging 60c going up to about 66c when gaming.
Everything is running stable with no probs..

I have just registered in this forum, and I hope i can find the help i need in here, and also offer any help, with my limited knowlage.

Cheers

Neyida
