View Full Version : Using Auto-Detect in the coolbits registry edit
I decided to use the Auto-Detect button inside the Clock Frequencies tab that the Coolbits edit enables. It turns out it overclocked my card a little better than I did :D Has anyone else tried it? I think I had the wrong relationship between core clock and memory. The Auto-Detect upped the core clock and memory and I got no artifacts unlike before.
I managed the 296/364 in my sig using this button with my FX 5200.

I once used that autodetect crap and it told me to do some 500/1000 on my GF4 Ti 4200...just my 2c.
thought only the FX line supported the autodetect feature. my GF4 sure doesnt have it in the Clock Frequencies tab.

Well, I have the 52.16 drivers, its not an added feature with those is it?
u have to download coolbits, its a registry file and it 'unlocks' the clock frequency tab.
i've used autodetect, i didnt like it, it choose settings for me that were lower then what i could really get.

I just tried it... It set my memory at 474! I applied the settings, and restarted... why the hell not???
I got artifacts in Windows!!! LOL
There were actually artifacts around the mouse, and active windows! Stick with manual clock dood!
