Here is the latest and greatest bios update ever to the Abit Kt family of motherboards. It features 23 new features over 3C version and has some new visual enhancements to your boot screen like the Athlon symbol!!! It also now supports 1400MHz Athlon processors officially.

ENJOY!!

leave comments here,

p.s. I have it and it works great on my KT7A-R.

This isn't the beta version 3r02 that came out last night is it?

I saw it alright Jack, but I do not install "mystery" bios' in my machine. What I meant was a link to a reputable site that explains more about it.

I went to Pauls KT7FAQ
http://www.viahardware.com/faq/kt7/faqbios.html
It sounds featue rich, but a little to buggy to try yet. I don't want to lose halt-on-idle in my Windows ME just yet, nor have to implement wpcredit to get it back. So, I will wait until it's "shoe-shined" a little more.

I agree Hoot, I am gonna wait til they get all the crap out first. I just flashed to the ZT official bios from ABIT.com and am very happy with it.

I flashed that new 3R02 last night and don't see any difference in performance anywhere, let alone any "new" features. I searched it high and low and even with WPCREDIT but nothing. They must be testing something secretly because I see nothing noticable at all.

the bios I posted is 3c02 tweaked around a bit and modified with a few eatras like logo disable option and so forth. I know twelve people already who have flashed this bios all with success. And it is BUG free. But the best part is just seeing the Athlon symbol at the startup screen! Makes me hate Intel even more..

lol

long live AMD

p.s- if you missed the bios post, its still there on my first message post. It's attached to the message on the lower right hand corner. I thought to include the AMD bios flasher just in case.

Dood, NOTHING is bug free, I've learned that very quickly. Has anyone on this board flashed your BIOS? Did you "tweak" it yourself or did you get it off a website?

from a web site link of the unofficial Abit kt7 faq site.

hell no,
I would never edit somthing like that, too risky.

anyway, what I m saying is the bios seems bug free to me with my current setup. ya ya , I know they can tune performance somehow but I SURE like booting through the bios in under 6 seconds! Including the raid bios.

5.4seconds to be exact!
