I'm trying to goto 1GHZ with my 750Duron! I have it at 900MHZ right now! But I want to 1GHZ!!! When I set the dipswitch to 950MHZ my screen comes up blank there is nothing on it. What is that? I have the CoreV at like 1.90 and it will not show anything! How can I fix that?

Could you tell us your system specs, your temps and what kind of cooling you're using?
what kind of motherboard, stuff like that
but your vcore is at the peak
have you tried lowering the multiplier and upping the fsb to hit a higher speed?
info info info!

I have a SY-K7VTA Pro Motherboard and my hight temp is about 14F.
256MB of PC133 ram

First of all, what do you mean your height temp is 14F??? Is that a typo, and you mean 140F? 14F would mean that you have water droplets because that is below freezing.

Second of all, i have never heard of your motherboard, and your thermisititor is probably broken, unless you are using a peltier/watercooling.

Third of all, I also have a Duron 750. Mine is running @ a very stable/powerfull 958mhz @ 160FSB 1.775vcore. I think cooling is your problem. I am at a full load of 55C ( my motherboard says that, and i have a in socket thermisititor) which in reality is probably 45C. 55C is about 132F.

Actually, try lowering your voltage. I could be that there is too much voltage, creating more heat then nessecary, which might be why you can't post @ 950. Also, if it won't even post @ 950, there is a chance it won't work at that.

I am going to have to disagree with Carmine on this one. The 700/750 durons are not super strong overclockers as compare to say the 600/650's. With my 700 it took me about 6 weeks to get my system from 950 to a gig. In the end you have to completely evaluate your system. That means:
1) Do as Carmine suggests and evaluate your cooling solution, from adding additional case fans (both intake and exhaust) to lapping the heatsink and using a good quality thermal grease
2) Unplug your drives (otherwise you will thrash windows) and take all your cards out, memory etc.
3) See what the highest you can post at ... then add one compoonent (ie memory) and see if you can post at the same settings if not record the highest you can post and move on to the next component taking the last component out before testing the next one
4) Find the bottlenecks in your system - those components in your system which will not post as high as the bulk of your other components (replace the bottleneck components as money allows)
5) If you want the gig out of your duron you are going to have to sell your soul to the demon of voltage mods - but there is no reason to do that until you have optimized your complete system (my duron hit the gig at 1.98volts). Again, this does depend a great deal on your cooling solution in order to pump the juice up on that duron.

Hope this helps!

I agree with you completely.
