I have a Spacewalker(Shuttle) motherboard model# hot591p and a AMD k6-2 233 and i have tried to over clock it but only have been successful at clocking it to 250 MHz but i would like to try and get it faster.
If anyone can help i would greatly appeciate it.
Thanx

correct me if I'm wrong here people.... but aren't the K6-2's already close to thier limit at 233? 250 is a decent overclock for legacy AMD chips.

My advice is to save up a couple bucks and snag an old duron, a cheapy MSI mobo (decent quality too), and clock the bejeezus out of it.

Those K6II need quite high voltages to run stable. They run pretty hot too, so get a good heatsink

The K6-2 Core tops out between 550 and 600 MHz usually, but there's no way you're going to get that out of a 233. You just gotta up the voltage (my 500 needed 2.8 volts to do 560 MHz), get good cooling, and cross your fingers. Any of the good Socket A coolers should work good, with the exception of the socket A orbs (you can use a Golden orb on a SS7 chip if you wish, but why?) :)
