I bought an A7m266 motherboard and some high grade ram. The processor has an AYHJA Core with 3rd Line which starts with Y. I was wondering if I can overclock with my motherboard that I bought by changing multiplier settings and if so what are some reccomendations. I have a NoiseControl Silverado heatsink.

I had a A7M266 revision 03, and at that board you cannot change the multiplier. You have to solder the board, if you want. The mod is discribed here: http://www.overclockers.com.au/techstuff/a_a7m266_mod/
good luck

This is a nice asus motherboard with stepless frequency selection which lest you change your fsb mhz by one increment at a time making it easy to overclock. I think all ayhja chips come unlocked so yes you can change your multiplier too. Jusdt remember to up your voltage when doing this and watch your temps. What are they now with your current cooling system?, you have a good hsf from the reviews ive read. Hope this helps
