help me recover data from a floppy plz!!! :)

i'm trying to help my friend recover some files from a floppy. He put in in a pc with a bad floppy drive which erased the file table. Now it says "would you like to format" in every pc he puts it in.

Is there any freeware or trial version of anything out there that will help?

i doubt it, but you can put it in an old comp with windows 98 and see if scandisk might fix it, but i doubt it.

Try accessing it on a computer with Linux installed on it. I heard that works. I'm not sure if you need a certain version of Linux or whatnot.
