CPU upgrade should be coming soon, I've been looking at the 2500+ Barton for quite a while but now that I see the latest AMD price cuts, the 2800+ isn't too bad a deal either. What are the best steppings for the 2800+ Barton? And where can I order one with those gauranteed steppings?

I have been looking into the bartons myself here lately and have not been able to find anyone or any forums that have declared any steppings of the bartons particulary better than others..
Which is good but if you want to look at some of the speeds people have been getting with them you can go to the www.overclockers.com main page and look in the cpu database.

I'd still shoot for that 2500+. The yields are still going to be better, and the cost is still less. Why pay for a 2800+ that might OC to a 3200+, when you can get a 2500+ that almost certainly will?

I was concerned about the availability of the 2500+ but if it'll be easy to find a new one for the next month or so I'll go with that. What are the steppings coming out of Newegg on retail 2500+ Bartons?
