stable. pass prim95 now would like to [email protected] so what timing and Vcore etc... to set to.

Thanks for help.
here sone infor

Hi,

I' m not an expert but I think you can do it with your default Vcore. First try to find highest fsb with default voltage and ram timings. Then try to lower timings by triial&error. Increasing Vcore is next step.

thanks for help
u mean set them to Auto Vcore and Auto Vmem and default mem DDR400 with 215fsb?

I think that if your goal is 3.0GHz you can do it with your default settings. But as I said before I' m no expert.

If you want higher speeds, try it with mem set to 400MHz and find the highest fsb, then lower the mem to 320MHz and try to increase fsp as much as you can. I believe that for an inexperienced o/cer (like you and me) the best divider setting is 320 MHz. 3:2 divider is useless unless you have quality mem sticks (Pc3700-PC4000).

I think your system will do fine with fsb 250MHz and mems 320 MHz.

Thank Firochromis very much .:) i did all thing like you said , it work good right now 1 get 225fsb 2.8C @ 3150 and mem @ 2x180fsb with divider 5:4 at 2-3-3-6-4 and volt all at default my goal get up to 250fsb cpu . i dont have $$ for another pc 3500 or pc3700:( .
Thanks again Firochromis.

Is that a gain underclocking a 400 MHz mem to 360 Mhz to be able to use the 5:4 divider and get a higher fsb?
I mean - in real performance (not benchmark) - compared with running 1:1 synch. if it´s possible?

kinko WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!

1st off i have your same MB (motherboard) As for that CPU you can expect somewhere around 3.4-3.5Ghz or possibly more with better cooling.

1st thing to do is set your Overclock to "Manual"
You want to keep your Vcore below 1.7 for daily use. I recommend 1.65 or less with stock cooling.
Set your Vdimm/Vmem to max 2.85 (memory)
Keep your AGP at 1.5
lock your AGP/PCI to 66/33
set your memory to 200 (3/2 divider)
Make sure your PAT is on standard and Turbo is on Auto.

Now you want to 1st attempt to see how high your CPU will go (FSB)
Once you hit your CPU limit (stable) then see how tight you can get your memory.
Good luck and keep us posted!

just get back from vacation.
Thanks gruvin2 for replay
I cant get any higher than 225fsb like u told me, maybe the mobo or mem stick PC3200C2 corsair not Ocing good this mobo. mem freq in P4C800 deluxe post 266/320/400 there is no 200mhz like u said, i got Zalman7000A-Cu and Antex 400W powersupply temp rang 32C ~ 39C.
CPU 2.8C @ 225fsb Vcore 1.65
mem freq 266mhz(divider 3:2) vdim 2.85 set @ 2-3-3-6 length at 4T. AGP 1.5v PCI 66/33
ATI Redeon 9200 SE.

Thanks,

Thanks,

My bad i ment to have the Memory running 3:2 (266Mhz). I see you already have it set to that. Well i highly doubt its the MB holding you back. If you have other DDR you can swap out i would try that. I would hope your 2.8C has more headroom. Did you also make sure to have Performance Mode to "Standard", and Performance Acceleration Mode to "Auto"? Try setting your Vcore to 1.6volts as well. Use a program like MBM5 to moonitor your temps. Keep me posted as to your progress. Good luck.
