I've heard of computers not functioning at freezing cold temps, I believe it was because the cold had made certain wires and what not no longer connect because they had shrunken down slightly due to the cold. Then there are matters of condensation....

I have heard of damage being done to cpu's that are constently taken to really cold temp and than back to ambiant temps, this is due to the cpu shrinking and expanding during temp changes. And as said above if you get below ambiant condensation becomes problem.

Also, beware of frost. It really has a detrimental effect on heat transfer. If it were me, I wouldn't cool any lower than 35F. And If you're going that cold, make sure there is NO moisture in the air.

Cold is fine as long as it is sustained and not hot then cold then hot. As long as your above freezing and you have no moisture you should be fine.
